shut down MC, delete your DH config file, and reboot.
!config
To edit the config, press the button next to the FOV slider.
The config file found in .minecraft/config/DistantHorizons.toml
The only issue I see here is that vanilla clouds are enabled
LODs might be a bit blurry
Disable vanilla clouds

What does it look like when you disable vanilla clouds?
the clouds alone arent the problem, when i turn off the clouds, i of course cant see them anymore, but the terrain remains pale, blurry, transparent, as you can see in the screenshot above
if you need a screenshot ill get it later, cant rn
Have you tried disabling fog?
vanilla fog or the fog inside dh?
DH fog
Vanilla fog would have no effect on DHs LODs
i dont remember if i did
probably didnt
ill do it later and get back
I don't understand what makes you describe this as "transparent"
Maybe I'm just blind
I will guess the fog making the chunks a bit more sky coloured
Makes sense. So nothing is actually transparent, but it could look a little bit as if the sky was visible thorugh the LODs.
I'm personally not seeing that in the screenshot though
