Best black boots at 500-600 price range?
Willing to shell out 500-600 for a pair of nice black boots. I've seen boots like frye engineer boots and the ysl wyatt boots, but worried about their quality. Just trying to find a pair that I can wear for the rest of my life.
Thanks

alden probably but also realistically its likely your taste will change before most of these options wear out or need to be repaired.
you will get a lot more joy and use out of buying a pair of boots you like that getting something you are ok with but is "quality"
also neither of these options are poorly made, not sure if Wyatt's are that easily resolable but again it probably can be repaired and wearing out soles takes a long time
Okay good to know, I was just wondering if there were any high quality bootmaking brands that made similar silhouettes and looks similar to the more fashion forward boot brands
i mean wyatts specificaly dont work with the heritage brands beacuse most them only to goodyearwelt construction and htat needs a thicker sole than works on the wyatt shape
the engineer shape is done by lots of brands in very high quality
the frye are pretty average for that type of boot
oh good to know, ill probably just wait until i can find a good deal on them then
what kind of boots, there are so many
i would say i like the wyatt boots because of the heel and pointy toe, im willing to go away from the buckle if it means getting higher quality
I think From The First is still in business and folks have had success there but if you like the wyatts just get em
yeah probably what i was thinking, idk if they go on sale or if secondhands a smarter option
Could also look at western boots. Lotsa vintage and new options with heels and pointy toes if you're cool with the other details but they're def not wyatts
ohhh thanks for the suggestion, will spend some time looking at those too then
My pair from ebay for like $60

they look nice, but howd you make sure you got the right sizing?
I did a bit of searching on the brand but just kinda went with my regular size iirc
They were cheap and I was okay reselling them if they didn’t fit
