is anyone else having apps just be slow or laggy in some form?
because ever since I had bazzite most apps would be laggy for some reason and even if I used it on windows in the past they just ran better on windows then bazzite even if it's a flatpack or RPM files

Hmm, running this seems to have fixed it after a restart.
rpm-ostree kargs --append=nvidia.NVreg_EnableGpuFirmware=0...

Which apps? Do you have old GPU? Gnome or kde?
KDE, RTX 3070
and pretty much anything
like Modrinth, Curseforge when only minecraft is open it weirdly freezes minecraft unless I close curseforge, Soundux (which is a sound board) just by playing 5 sounds, firefox browser after I open youtube tabs it sometimes will stutter but youtube videos play fine and my CPU ain't even 50%
nor my GPU
Having this issue too. Things stutter if not been opened for a while. Even start menu. Also KDE. R5 7600x, 4070super

good to know
Hopefully helps you
I will let you know if it does and thanks for sharing the info!
no worries 🙂
DUDE
IT WORKS
OH MY GOD finally
thank you so much
Hehe, happy to hear. You're welcome 🙂
Wonder when it will be fixed since it's been years
probably no? nvidia-open kernel module requires gsp
what you are doing is probably a roundabout way to switch back to proprietary kernel modules
If it is required, hope they fix it soon
as such it should have nearly identical effect as rebasing to nvidia non open images
50x0 and later cards will only work with open kernel modules
Then they really need to fix it
given that its nvidia, don't get your hopes up
this sticker exists for a reason
xD
Well I am using 4070super. That'll do me for 4-5 years
Although even after running that command, still says it's enabled, but the stuttering is gone. No idea

I'll just be happy it worked and not think about why
Ah, checking here, it is disabled. No worries then.
cat /proc/cmdline
actually yo it didn't fix
it did for a moment but went back
Oh no. Hmm
If you run cat /proc/cmdline does it show 0 or 1 for it?
0
So it is disabled. Sorry, I am new to linux so aside from googling for hours I'm not really a big help. Shame that it didn't stay fixed. If it stop working for me I'm just gonna switch to Gnome
fair
But so far so good. I keep opening new things, loading new things and opening games to try catch it not working anymore and so far so good. Sorry I can't be a bigger help
I will try Gnome and check that
never mind I gotta clear alot of stuff so I won't mess with that
