Ya know, I think I can confidently say I must enjoy wearing boots since I've been consistently wearing them for the past 6 or so years. I was a little iffy about them because I wasn't used to driving in them but now that I've gotten past that skill issue. It's been boot goofin'.
Maybe it's time for new boot goofin'?

Are there other brands that have as brutal a break in period as Docs? They're a very popular boot in my part of the world and I've heard some absolute horror stories from friends. I've never had anything similar from my experience with other brands (Blundstones/Meermin etc)
you bring up a good point actually, i've never heard anyone complain as much as someone with a new pair of docs
Red wings are famously pretty brutal depending on material and sizing
Advice for a while was size them too small and endure the worst break in known to man
I’ve never had any issues with docs but it depends person to person
i think the worst boots i ever owned are a pair of lemaire sidezip that i think still rule in shape but the leather and hardware are so bad it makes me angry so i only wear them when i have to
it kinda put me off designer footwear for a little but but then you know once bad apple doesn't spoil the bunnch or whatever and then got gucci boots which surprise surprise still have things about them that make me wanna scream except they're also my favorite pair??

Docs do though and for that reason I would never recommend them
