Advertising and gaining players?
So I'm starting development of my Minecraft server again. However, the issue is that I need to start advertising so that on release we hopefully have 50–100+ players. I wanted to know how one would go about doing this, what the costs of advertising are, the costs of hiring someone to get these results, etc.
I also want to do short-form content on social media to advertise, TikTok, YouTube, X, etc. What would the average cost be per video, or if you hire someone else, how much would I be looking at to get promising results?
Has anyone done something like this before and can let me know from their experience or what they have seen in the past with other people?

if you want something quick and free, try posting on reddit. my server has seen over 5k new players this year mainly from reddit traffic.
it's not going to go super viral, but it's a slow and steady consistent drip of new traffic
Good to know, how often do you post and to how many subs per day? How many of those 5k players have stayed on the server though? Are you able to retain them or do they log on and then quit right away?
Yeah, I mean even if it doesn't go viral that is fine since there will be other sources of traffic
i do 4 subs every day. how many people stick around kinda depends on how good your server is and how accurately your advertising reflects the experience players will have
for my server personally, we saw our average player count increase by 3-4x after a month or two of daily posting
