Steam doesn't launch when pressed "play" on macbook air m1 even though its installed, please help

Im sorry if this is considered a stupid question, im not competent with tech but ill attach the log files, i know absolutely nothing about code, but im assuming there is something else that i need to download for it to launch? I just followed a tutorial from youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8kgG49LWHQ and for him it worked, im not sure why. My software update is Ventura currently, and if possible is there a solution that doesnt require an update?

OS: 13.6.1 (darwin) your OS is super old, update to at least the latest version 15 (if you don't want to go to macos 26)

that's one issue, I'm guessing game porting toolkit doesn't work because of that hard to know if it's the only issue until you try after updating the system

alright thanks, im just adamant on updating because i fear the performance may drop and since this laptop is old i don't want to risk anything since im not getting a new one any time soon, but i guess its either update or refrain from using heroic then thanks a lot for your help though do you think it is possible to run it with an older toolkit or it doesnt work that way oh also im not sure why it says darwin because i know that its ventura

darwin is the internal codename for macos, it's not related to a version, it means it's a mac
