The integration uses the "public Internet" approach, with connections coming from the published CF IP ranges. That said, you can set up tunnels to Planetscale on your own, same as to anywhere else. @thomasgauvin any objection to pulling the beta tag off of tunnels? Given how much usage they have these days, I think they're more than ready. Tunnels are what all our internal Hyperdrive usage goes through and we use it for a lot internally.

@AJR, yes we use tunnels internally for production purposes, but the upcoming tighter integration with tunnels will be the long-term approach we recommend which will no longer require Access/Service Auth tokens

Unfortunately I would say these improvements are not likely to be available in Q4, no.

@JonathanR are you blocked on anything currently? We will continue to support Hyperdrive x Access x Tunnels if that is the concern, and the migration to the new direct Hyperdrive x Tunnels integration will be seamless
