Looking for a casual pair of black shoes - struggling!
Hi all, I'm looking for a pair of black casual shoes as we move into autumn. Recently did a bit of a refresh of my wardrobe and realised I'm missing a pair. If it helps with suggestions, I'm based in the UK.
I'm looking for something I can wear to work (my office is casual) but that are not trainers. I typically wear either Axel Arigato clean 90 trainers in white (that I got for a steal) or these.
I've tired boots, but due to my legs being skinny I always find that any variant (Chukka, lace up, etc) just look strange on me, so they are out of the picture.
I already have a pair of black leather chelsea boots, but they look very dressy to me so not quite the casual look I'm going for.
Loafer wise, I find they are also quite dressy, I like the look of penny loafers, and I saw these which fit the bill, but the thin sole puts me off. Moc toe shoes while back in right now, I find too chunky for my style/ feet. Although if I can find a slimmer pair I would consider it.
One thing that matches is deck/boat shoes with a lug sole - these from Thursday look good but are somewhat out of my price range. These are a great deal at the moment, but again the sole looks thin and is it more of a summer shoe?
My question is whether I'm missing out on anything? Thank you!
