;hdd
This is an issue with files loading off of your disk. You might have a HDD. If you do, you should defragment it or get an SSD and place Valorant on it.
Use
windows key + r than type "dfrgui" to check what type of drive you have.
Learn how to defragment:

Solid State Drives (SSD) and Hard Disk Drives (HDD) are data storage devices. SSDs are usually much smaller, thinner, and offer more storage volume, speed, and efficiency compared to HDDs.
;refund
:valExclamation: Only unused in-game content and unused VP purchased within the last 14 days are eligible for a refund. In-game content counts as used once it's taken into a game: that means you've reached the loading screen of a match in any mode (including custom games or practice) with that content equipped.

;paypal
Solution 1:
PayPal might be putting restrictions on your account, make sure you check PayPal's support page on why your transaction might have not gone through.
Solution 2:
Many users have found using command prompt to refresh their overall connection helps fix any transactional errors. Open command prompt as administrator and type these commands in order.
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
netsh winsock reset
Solution 3:
If none of the above solutions or information is helpful to your issue, you can always use your credit or debit card directly, instead of using PayPal. In addition, online vendors have online gift cards for Valorant's premium currency. You can try to use PayPal to purchase an online gift card; most find this to be an effective solution. Note, gift cards are geo locked so purchase them from your region.;van102

;secureboot
Vanguard constantly crashing? Secure boot not enabled?
These steps should help with Secure Boot and TPM errors:
Before we start, please try uninstalling Vanguard, VALORANT, then Riot Games, and reinstall.
Alternatively, search for "TPM reset in Windows." If that doesn't work: Copy and paste this into CMD (Run as admin): IMPORTANT: Depending on your specific motherboard vendor, the setting location may vary. Look for:
- TPM
- Security Device Support
- PTT
- FTPM
- Intel Platform Trust Technology
These are usually located within CPU Configuration, Security, or Trusted Computing. Make sure these are enabled, along with TPM State. (You may need to select TPM 2.0. AMD users might need to enable NX Mode.) Set Secure Boot Mode to Standard. If after rebooting, Windows still shows Secure Boot as disabled, set Secure Boot Mode to Custom.
Press F10 to save and exit. If this doesn't work: Update your BIOS (youâll need a USB for this). 1. Type "System Info" into Windows Search, and look for the BaseBoard Product - copy and paste it into Google.
2. Go to your motherboardâs support page and navigate to the Drivers/Downloads section. 3. Download the latest BIOS version. 4. Extract the download and place it onto your USB (make sure itâs FAT32). 5. Go to BIOS and paste this into CMD (Run as admin): Based on your motherboard vendor, follow these options: - MSI â MFLASH
- ASUS â EZ Flash Utility
- ASRock â Instant Flash
- Gigabyte â QFlash
Select the BIOS file and update. Your system may restart a few times. If this guide wasnât detailed enough for your specific motherboard, search online for things like âHow to update MSI BIOSâ or âHow to turn TPM on for MSIâ for more detailed instructions. -# These solutions have been provided by COMPREADY:cr:.

;stretched
True stretched resolution in VALORANT means the game is actually rendering at the custom resolution you select, not just scaling or stretching the image afterward. VALORANT does not support true stretched resolutions. If you pick a non-16:9 resolution, the game will add black bars (letterboxing/pillar-boxing) or scale the image to fit your screen, but the rendered field of view (FOV) and hitboxes stay exactly the same. This is different from older titles like CS:GO, where a stretched res would change how models looked on screen.
So in short:
- True stretched resolution = the game engine itself is rendering the world in that aspect ratio (e.g. 4:3 stretched to 16:9).
- What VALORANT does = the engine always renders at 16:9, and any "stretching" is just your display/GPU scaling the image. No gameplay or hitbox advantages come from it.

;network
NRI - Network Related Issue - Lagging due to slow upload speed?
If you're experiencing ping spikes despite good internet speeds, consider that online games require both download and upload bandwidth. With 250 Mbps down and 10 Mbps up, your upload speed might be insufficient, especially with multiple devices. A consistent upload speed for gaming should be around 45 Mbps or more. Bandwidth is shared among devices, and routers may prioritize certain devices (QoS).
Remove Unused Devices:
1. Access your router's portal to manage device connections and prioritize your gaming system.
2. Open CMD as admin and run ipconfig /flushdns
2. Restart your router and modem.
Check Internet Speed:
If speeds are below 75% of your plan, contact your ISP.
Test speeds at SpeedTest.
Constantly disconnecting from wired ethernet / WiFi:
Replace damaged ethernet cable.
Restart router (ISP may have issues).
Update ethernet drivers (find on your motherboard's support page).
Consider a PCIe network card if the onboard network device fails.
Ensure ethernet adapter supports the router's link speed.
Set a Reliable DNS:
1. Open CMD as admin and run:
2. Note the lowest round trip time in ms.
3. Go to Network & Internet settings and set DNS server assignment to manual.
4, Use the preferred and alternative DNS with the lowest ping:
Example DNS servers:
```94.140.14.14 - 94.14
;bios
To access your BIOS:
- Press the Windows key
- Type âAdvanced Startupâ
- Open âChange Advanced Startup Settingsâ
- Scroll down and click on âRestart Nowâ
Once youâre in âAdvanced Startup Modeâ:
- Click on âTroubleshootâ
- Click on âAdvancedâ
- Click on âUEFI settingâ
- Click âRestartâ
