PRE and GPU spikes causing stutter and blur during camera movement on iPad 11th Gen (A16 chip)
While playing PUBG Mobile on my iPad 11th generation, I noticed frequent PRE and GPU spikes in the FPS meter, especially when moving the camera or during intense scenes. These spikes cause noticeable micro-stutters and make the screen appear blurry or soft during camera movement.
The FPS meter shows that PRE (pre-render) times fluctuate heavily, which indicates a CPU bottleneck or inconsistent frame preparation. At the same time, GPU (blue line) spikes correspond with moments of blur and reduced smoothness, suggesting unstable frame pacing between CPU and GPU.The gameplay there remains perfectly stable with smooth frame pacing and no motion blur during camera movement.
Device Details:
• Device: iPad 11th Generation (A16 chip)
• Display: 60 Hz
• Resolution: 2360 × 1640
• PUBG Mobile Beta Version: [insert version shown on screen]
• Graphics: Smooth + 60 FPS (Motion Blur OFF, Anti-Aliasing OFF)
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter Training Ground or Classic Match.
2. Enable FPS meter overlay.
3. Move camera rapidly left and right.
4. Observe the PRE and GPU graphs — frequent spikes and visible blur/stutter occur.
Expected Result:
Stable PRE and GPU graphs with no blur or frame pacing issues while moving the camera.
Actual Result:
PRE and GPU spikes cause visible motion blur and choppy camera motion even at 60 FPS.
Request:
Please optimize frame pacing and pre-render performance for A16-based iPads (11th Gen), as they show inconsistent CPU–GPU synchronization compared to A17 devices.
