you press skip
like i shoulnt or should
pre-processing of the shaders is no longer required, it happens on the fly as you play.
the only time you dont press skip, is if the game stutters for you
so what shoud i do
it just wont ope the game
opne
open
so i dont skip? it just stays at zero percent but ill wait a it longer
press skip
if game stutters
dont press skip next time
the game wont start on steam it saying playng
then
pre-processing of the shaders takes time
it just go back to start
did you add a steam library that was for windows before?
no
i downleaded it on a exsternal harddrive
on bazzite
is the external harddrive formated as ntfs?
or btrfs?
or ext4?
ntfs is not supported for game storage in linux
only btrfs and ext4 are supported

uhh do you know how i can get my dolphan toolbar back

like the left sidebar
F9
or the hamburger menu in the top right --> show panels --> places
guess it was ntfs
Ya I have found that games on a NTFS drive just don’t run,
yeah its an incompatibility between wine/proton and ntfs itself
due to a mix of filesystem features and filepath symbols.
I suspected such as well, with that all said for anyone that runs across this, what I did when migrating is shrink the NTFS partition on my secondary drive and make a new EX4 partition, added both partitions has steam drives, and move games via steam one by one (or groups) seems reading and interacting with the files are fine, just not running them as you said.
copying the SteamLibrary folder from partition A to partition B is enough when steam is not running, and then delete the
compatdata folder (if it exists) from the SteamLibrary you moved since that can contain broken data from trying to run the games on the NTFS drive.
