Unable to boot into bazzite
Im trying to install monoboot bazzite and during installation i specify to reclaim all parts of my main c drive (my goal is to overwrite windows and only have bazzite, as i'll VM win later) but after finishing install whenever I boot it just goes into windows recovery. What is happening?

Try selecting custom partitioning in installer then delete every partition, go back and select drive again. Thats what I would do.
custom partitioning?
i dont see that option
What are the options
There should be one where you can create partitions manually and manage them
hold on lemme reboot into another install attempt
ok now i cant even boot into installer on usb

im going to reflash usb and try again
Try to restart again
I think usb should be fine
oh it was
wtf was that weird screen
It looked strange
ok so the disk i highlighted is the disk i want to install to

this disk currently has a broken win install because windows themselves borked it
Select advanced custom
it swapped to a new disk that i dont want touched wtf
wait no it might still be there
Shouldn't it display all disks?
its not

it specifically doesnt display the disk from the previous page
Yeah i see that
the nvme1n1 one
i dont know why its doing this
Maybe this will work

wait
no i think i got it
the UI fked up

ok now i want to format everything here and install
ignore the bazzite already installed there i cant boot into it because windows
Delete every partition and try installing again
it now says error checking storage configuration
Can you delete the efi partition?
i deleted everything
im gonna try rescan disks
Okay
ok now im noticing a discrepancy
oh wtf
it told me it deleted but it didnt
Maybe try deleting everything on that disk from other OS?
cant theres no bootable OS on this pc because win borked itself
and it gave me an error when i try to boot into an temp os from usb
im gonna try again from a linux mint usb
ok i think mint is booting from usb
ok in mint
wat was the disk manager called again? gdisk?
ok its not letting me do a full disk reformat?
Why
Is it mounted
It should let you do it
Or at least remove partitions
ok there we go
it was mounted and it didnt let me unmount while gparted is open
Okay
ok now itd 465.76 GiB of unallocated
i hope windows isnt hiding itself
Haha
because its a 500gb drive
ok gonna shut down and try installation again
Lets hope it will work
windows is still hiding

Is that disk the same one you formatted?
Because Windows could install its efi partition to other disk
it should be
i only installed windows to my 500gb drive
my other drives are fully cleared outside of some personal files
Hmm
What if you click on that Windows boot manager in bios
Nothing happens
i can only drag and drop boot order
Okay so its only to set boot priority
on that
ye
The only idea I have is to check other disks if the efi partition isnt somewhere else
i recognize the drive
its hiding on one of my 1gb drives
this is where its hiding

i never set a window recovery before, microsoft sneaked this one on
I think it just installed the boot partitions on other drive from the start
ok i need to go back to mint and delete this, its not even letting me select the bazzite install as boot with this existing
i didnt have that drive when i installed windows, windows themselves added this later without my knowledge
Sneaky micro$oft
Never heard of that happening earlier
oh it was even worse, it seems them smallflaccid fks sneaked on hidden boots on all of my disks
Perfect
Have you managed to remove all of them?
ye trying to install again
fk

when i try to boot
was my install broken?
Shouldn't be
so why its giving me that error?
But you can always reflash if youre not sure
Im not that tech person but something just didnt start properly
Something related to kernel
huh it might be secureboot
i need to disable that

Hallelujah
thankyou so much @Nico
Glad it worked
Enjoy
