weird keybind override + alt tab lock
im not sure if this is the correct channel to be asking this but im running into some weird overriding issues with my key inputs when using certain programs along with some games perma locking aka preventing from alt tabbing or using borderless window to interact with two monitors.
Basically when using an app that has key binds set to use alt+w/s it instead acts like im pressing shift w/s. the locked game is titan quest anniversary edition. This only happens with these two programs thus far. (edited)Friday, October 17, 2025 at 2:07 PM

for games try use gamescope or scopebuddy, some games can misbehave with alt tabs (but from my experience they are few)
gamescope/scopebuddy will fool them into thinking they are always fullscreen even when tabbed out.
okay and what about the strange alt=shift in my other program? it be default uses alt for camera controls and i have verified that the OS keyboard settings are set to english(US) 104 key and alt is in fact alt there and yet in that program it acts like im pressing shift.
no idea, never experienced that
also how do i run that thing you said to do with steam?
ScopeBuddy - Bazzite Documentation
Bazzite is a custom image built upon Fedora Atomic Desktops that brings the best of Linux gaming to all of your devices.
if you want to see all the flags and options just run
gamescope --help in your terminalid rather be told what to do instead of just thrown to some website i barely understand.
@MOD @Bazzite Maintainer would also like more opinions on this matter as it is extremely frustrating having my key inputs not act the way they should. i need to find out if its the programs fault or the OS thats causing this because if i know that then i can ask the right questions to the right people cuz as of now im just flailing in the dark with my limited knowledge.
read the rules
see you in a week
means you have time to read the gamescope help page and the scopebuddy manual which is made to be easy to understand once you know the gamescope options you want.
