Mouse cursor becomes invisible on alt tab

Using Gamescope lauched using scopebuddy, when I tab out of a game my cursor disappears.
It shows at first, then just goes away when I tab out.
Force Mouse Grab does make it show, but I'd rather not have that on for every game
