"packet sender is null"
Quite a large modlist, ~ 560. was working fine, i have tried transferring the mods folder to a different curseforge pack without configs or anything else. im not sure what specifically causes this.

does the same happen with just DH installed?
No. i ticket its something random
it could be an incompatability between distant horizons and another mod. a !binary search may be necessary
Try a binary search and figure out which mod is causing it.
So disable half of the mods, see if issue is still there, if yes disable half again etc etc until you find the mod that's causing the issue.
yeah i was hoping someone ran into this before and knew what it was, when i find what it is ill post it here
its "moonlight performance enhancement module" i can get the crash with just dhori and that mod.
