MOTD show as "Can't connect to server" while the server is available
The logs doesn't show anything related to the MOTD, and i don't really know where to look,
If you have any ideas please tell me!
I have the plugin list as a picture!

If anyone needs extra info about the server/plugins you can tell me :)
where is this hosted
on my own server
What is minimotd
minimotd seems like the only plugin that could cause that issue since its the only one i can see that does modify the motd in the server browser
Try to replace MiniMOTD with AdvancedServerList, it’s way more feature rich anyway and eliminates MiniMOTD as the source of the issue
I‘d always use ASL over anything else anyways…
i tried to remove minimotd to test if the vanilla motd was working and it didn't, so that's not the issue
just to make sure, you can actually connect right? just that the motd is saying its not online
like whatever client is getting that message in the server browser can actually join
yeah anyone can connect really well, that's how i got the plugins list it was in-game on the same server
so everyone gets the cant connect message in server browser?
yes and everyone can connect
I updated to 1.21.10 it did not fix itself so i did some testing, the motd doesn't show up even when i started the server without paper and just the normal minecraft server
if anyone has an idea what's happening help would be wonderful
then its a networking issue, tho idk what that issue could be
The query port is what shows that information iirc can be set differently, and is set to UDP, can you very if the query port is the same as your main port and that your port forwarding is udp/tcp?
Maybe use sniffcraft to see if the server is actually not sending a motd or its sending the "cannot connect" motd itself
it was a networking issue! it was fixed thank you :D
