Game (Nightingale) won't launch after switching to Intel Arc A750 (Rocky Linux + Heroic + Wine/Proto

Hi everyone, I'm having a persistent issue launching Nightingale after switching my GPU to an Intel Arc A750. I'm using Rocky Linux, launching the game via Heroic Games Launcher with Wine-GE/Proton + DXVK/VKD3D. Here’s my latest log file for reference: πŸ”— https://0x0.st/KeDD.log πŸ” What I’ve tried so far: Fully wiped and reinstalled Heroic, including all prefixes and configs Removed all NVAPI/NVIDIA-related environment variables: DXVK_ENABLE_NVAPI DXVK_NVAPI_ALLOW_OTHER_DRIVERS Tested different Proton / Wine-GE versions Verified only the Intel Vulkan ICD is being used (intel_icd.x86_64.json) Updated system: using the latest available kernel, Mesa, and Vulkan packages Started the game with minimal environment and no overlays Tried setting custom variables like FORCE_VK_VENDOR=-1 (no change) DXVK/VKD3D appears to initialize, but the game never fully launches ❗ Observations: The game reaches a certain point during startup but then just hangs No clear crash or error like VK_ERROR_DEVICE_LOST or vkCreateDevice failed Vulkan is detected; GPU (Arc A750) is listed correctly No meaningful output that shows where it actually fails Might be Vulkan extension compatibility or Wine/VKD3D edge case with Intel? πŸ™ What I need help with: Does anyone have a working config for Intel Arc GPUs on Linux with Proton? Are there recommended environment variables or DXVK/VKD3D versions for Intel GPUs? Should I spoof GPU vendor using something like FORCE_VK_VENDOR? Is this a known issue with Intel Arc and certain Proton/DXVK versions? Any hints from my log that I might be missing? Any help or guidance would be really appreciated! I’m happy to provide additional logs or test whatever you suggest. Thanks in advance! πŸ™

Stop with AI stuff blud Did it work on same Proton and same system before that only Arc going in causes the issue is a fact or not?

Yes it Worked on the Same System and the Only Thing Changed it the GPU from a AMD RX560 to a Intel Arc A750. Booarderland 2 & 3 also dont seem to have any issues runnig in Steam(Boaderlands 3) and in Heroic (Boarderlands 2) And my Boarderlands 3 is Running with DX12 While Nightingale is giving me the following Error Messeage: DirectX 12 is not supported on your system. Try running without the -dx12 or -d3d12 command line argument. ID: flummut

Good, then first you ought to try with a newer driver. However i dont know what does Rocky Linux ships as newer than 25.0.7, can you post this output? inxi -SMGxx

Honestly Rocky is like the one distro where I don't know how to help you Seems like it's RHEL without RHEL though, so should be doable. Let me find some documentation Yeah the latest version they package is indeed 24.2.8: https://rockylinux.pkgs.org/10/rockylinux-appstream-x86_64/mesa-vulkan-drivers-24.2.8-3.el10_0.x86_64.rpm.html This COPR repo packages newer Mesa, I believe that should work for RHEL and in turn Rocky: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/andersrh/mesa-epel/ You are really going outside of what your distro is intended for though. RHEL is for servers, you don't want to use it on the desktop

So there is no way arround a reinstall again. Who was that guy that said Linux is fun? Not Really because no IPv4 and no Static IP so no Selfhostig and thats a big no for me. And by the way the way they do it in Multi Unit Setups with docsis 3 is just worse then having a stable 100 mbit connection, if you get reconnects as soon as some old lady switches her channels and lets no tech in her arparment. 🫠

Could've tried the COPR repo, but yeah installing a distro meant for what you're doing is usually the better option long-term Feel free to ask in this #πŸ†˜-support channel in case you have any other questions (of any nature) about EndeavourOS. An Arch-based distro is just about the best place you can be for desktop usage since you can actually resolve issues you run into
