Assertion Failed error in The Crew Motorfest
I'm trying to play The Crew Motorfest, but I get an error.
I already tried Proton 9, Experimental, and the latest GE version.
It happens on both my desktop and Legion GO 2. SteamOS is fine as I can play it on the Steam Deck.

this might sound dumb but have you tried running with
SteamDeck=1 %command% ?Yep
No dice
So, I downloaded the CachyOS version of Proton and the error is not there anymore. Now it just flickers between two different frames.
My suspicion of it being a Vulkan error might be true.

did you delete the prefix
I am running bazzite on legion go, i can hear game audio in the backend though

every Windows game runs in a fake windows environment, a prefix
its a folder on your drive
when changing proton versions, some things from the old proton might 'stick around' until you delete the prefix
to find the folder, go to desktop mode, open protontricks => select your game => select default wineprefix => browse files

Itβs a Proton error, maybe related to Vulkan.

Nope. Latest version of proton 10.0-3 have the same issue.
