Rocket League won't launch on LInux system

Today I tried to play Rocket League, since the Steam version does not have multiplayer I downloaded Heroic Game Launcher and ogged in to Epic Games through it. I downloaded Rocket League on the launcher and then proceeded to choose the newest proton-ge version. When I start the game it shows as "launching" to then after like 10 seconds stop it and turn off. When I try to start it I see the console (cmd) open up for a brief second and then close itself immediately. I am out of ideas on how to fix this issue, maybe someone from this community also had this issue and knows how to get it running ? I thank everyone in advance.

Yes but maybe 2 months later it will hit another issue eg glibc too old etc Considering Proton and friends are always moving targets that needs many things up to date and considers Arch as primer target

Ok, then if that person said that do PPA instead Would be much safer Wait a min sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kisak/turtle sudo apt update Do these After that, refresh your update manager You should see a 25.0.7 driver update Updating base itself is better solution long term still
foreign-sapphire
foreign-sapphireOP3w ago
ok ill try it and see if it works after
CommandMC
CommandMC3w ago
FWIW you can also check the driver version with vulkaninfo --summary, no need to launch Heroic & the game every time You likely also want to run sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:kisak/kisak-mesa, IIRC apt won't let you update at all when you have a PPA without a release candidate for your distro added

That shouldn't be there Re-run these commands from earlier:
sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:kisak/kisak-mesa
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kisak/turtle
sudo add-apt-repository --remove ppa:kisak/kisak-mesa
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kisak/turtle
After that run sudo apt update again, it should now show the kisak/turtle repo in the output
