Memory Shortage Error

When I launched Deep Rock Galactic and was downloading mods, it gave me a memory shortage error twice. It seems to be using too much of my RAM. Here is a picture of my system monitor with the game running in the background.

fwiw, I first launched the game in DX12 mode when it was installing mods. also not sure if GPU usage being above 100% is normal.

the screenshot shows only like 1/3 of your memory being used I haven't seen GPU usage over 100% before. Is this a laptop and/or a dual GPU system?

it's a laptop

I have no idea if it's possible for something to be mixing both an integrated GPU and dedicated GPU

also, the performance degrades immediately. started with about 100 fps as I loaded in and it went down to 50

so I don't know this game specifically and I'm also new to Bazzite

the one thing I did see is that Overwatch 2 apparently has a memory leak with DX11, but seems to work with DX12 I have no idea if other games have stuff like that, where memory leaks with one setting but not the other Have you seen memory run out with any other games?
I also have no idea if Deep Rock Galactic lets you limit max memory. Mods being involved muddies the water further, because who knows if the main game is causing it, or it's a mod. My last thought at the moment is that the protondb website might have some experiences from other players that prove useful. You can search a specific game on that website and see if people posted settings that work for them DX12 on nVidia currently has a performance impact compared to Windows, but I think it's (slowly?) being worked on by nVidia or whoever. I use it rather than get a memory leak in OW2 though.
