Alan Wake 2 crashing on startup
AW2 Log: https://0x0.st/K2F6.log
I am on a CachyOS system and, as should be in the log file, running on Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB RAM and an RTX 4070 Ti.
When I try to start Alan Wake 2 through Heroic, it stops telling me that there was a GPU fault causing the crash, see screenshot of the message.
I do not have any over-/underclocking software installed and my packages are on the newest versions I can get. Starting the game right after a reboot does not help either, so there should not be any issues with any other GPU intensive applications.
I am not using the flatpack version of Heroic and have double checked that i have all the dependencies installed.
I installed the game on my system the first time like a week ago and it worked perfectly fine on first start but now it just won't do it anymore.
I am at my wits end right now on what to do to try and fix this. Please let me know, if you need any other information about the crash or my system. :D

Use Proton GE latest
Disable this

Thanks, but sadly that did not do the trick yet. I tried playing around with a few other options too but I still get the same error...

Thing is, it did something.
Got rid of these at least.
Now this part matters
@CH4O7IC Do this
Go to
Games/Heroic/Prefixes/AlanWake2
Nuke it
Then get back to Heroic UI, settings ( not game settings, client settings) , advanced, scroll there until you find Allow Valve Proton builds
After that set game to run with Proton Experimentallike-goldOP•3w ago
I only have
.../Prefixes/default/AW2 that good too?
So it can configure itself afterward again?yappiest-sapphire•3w ago
Yep
Ye, that path changed in last few Heroics
So i just happened to type previous one
