WINTER BOOT THREAD
Hello everyone, it's been a while. I am in need of new winter boots. I live in Toronto so there is a fair bit of snow and a TON of salt. It also gets quite cold here (-30c) so I am looking for something warm, but that can be secondary I can just wear more socks.
Let's say budget is like 6-700 CAD. I'd ideally like for them to look pretty cool as well.
Looking for any and all recommendation.
Here are some that I've been looking at:

Have my size in the black

i would not want to deal with suede in our city’s streets
Having some rubber is gonna be ideal for the salt
Right? Mainly because of the salt
The suede would be done for right

im sorry noah this does not apply to the price range given
i just really want those
i rlly like these because they borrow a lot from actual practical built sorels which fucking rock
I may go try em on
big sorel fan they were my snowblowing boots when i lived up north
What are they?
bizbim 🙊
Because tbh I think I need a practical boot, hikers may actually not be enough for our winters
flashback to uggs with salt stains
visit toronto
you wont need to flashback
Yea it aint a flashback
LMAO
real
there are shearling-lined boots but i have no experience with them
Anfibio is the brand
I think I may actually run too hot for this
fair, wouldn't wanna sweat while on the subway etc
Genuinely this is a consideration
The stations are way too hot
highly recommend wool socks, JB Fields Hiker GX or other by that company. Made in Canada and cheap for wool socks. Duray also
they wick moisture if you ever do get hot feet in winter boots
Good shout on this

$17-$19.50 per pair depending on size is pretty good for that high of wool %

Possibly you could get away with sizing up on an unlined hiking boot and wearing it with thick wool socks all the time
these socks are good
the red stripe work socks in particular

Wool goated
I don't think I've had any wool socks
Change this shits name to sock and boot thread
All my socks are wool
wool will still be warm when it gets wet also
Worth noting William Lennon are (usually) MTO with a significant lead time
Yea, I probably will still grab a pair at some point but I'm using it more as like a "boot I think looks rad as fuck"
Super fair, more or less said the same thing myself in the past!
I love my thicc wool boot socks, make sure to size up your boots though.
