WiFi Stuck at "Configuring Interface" - Fresh Bazzite Install
Hi everyone! I'm having persistent WiFi issues on my fresh Bazzite OS installation and could really use some help. I am new to linux
The Problem:
- WiFi interface
wlp9s0 gets stuck at "Configuring interface" and won't complete connection
- Tested on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks
- Connection attempts fail with: Error: 802-11-wireless-security.key-mgmt: property is missing
Current Status:
- Power management is confirmed OFF (iw wlp9s0 get power_save returns "off")
- NetworkManager is running
- Can see networks in network manager
- Connection attempts hang at "Configuring interface" indefinitely
System Specs:
- OS: Fresh Bazzite installation
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
- Motherboard: MSI X870E Tomahawk WiFi
- RAM: 32GB G.SKILL DDR5-6000
- Storage: Kingston KC3000 (primary), Samsung 980 (secondary)
- WiFi Interface: wlp9s0
Has anyone experienced this on Bazzite? Is there something specific I need to configure for the MSI X870E Tomahawk's WiFi adapter? Any help would be greatly appreciated! π2 Replies
try toggling wifi off/on while stuck on configuring interface
that sometimes but only sometimes happens to me
toggling wifi off/on gets around it
for me
I found out that its just the wifi signal is weak . Is this normal? Kind of weird that on macbook and any devices my wifi is full but on bazzite its one bar π₯²
