Booted into Bazzite today after ~3 months and there is...nothing?
Just a black screen, no bar, no desktop rightclick, no edit mode. The only thing that works is win + E and Ctrl + Alt + Del. Had to "Open Folder with..." in Dolphin search trough all apps and open settings, steam, discord through that. My Files and Apps appear to be there but desktop is just black and can' t do anything. Help please

Try the following:
* Before you log in press CTRL+ALT+F2, this will give you a TTY terminal
* Log in with your username and typically while you type your password nothing will be displayed
* Now we are going to move the KDE Plasma settings file, which will reset your settings. The command is
mv ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc-old (you can use tab to help autocomplete the command while you are typing it)...4 Replies
Does Ctrl + Alt + T open a terminal window?
If you can get that, what's the output of
rpm-ostree status?Sry for the long wait, different time zone.
Ctrl + Alt + T does work and outputs:

Booting into ostree0 from grub instead of 1, also didn't make a difference

Try the following:

* Now once you have moved the file via the terminal. Switch back to the login screen by pressing CTRL+ALT+F1
* Now when you log in, hopefully your desktop will show up.
* Note that you will need to reconfigure your pinned applications and default applications againI am supposed to log into the TTY terminal with the same credentials I log into my regular user account? If so, TTY outputs "Login incorrect". I verified the username and password are correct multiple times
Scratch that
The login screen displayed admin as the username
...
I'm sorry
The only defense I have is that I haven't logged in for months
It changed the user from my default to admin
Since they share the same password I didn't notice
Thank you champ, I highly appreciate the effort
