Web pages not loading
Hello Bazzite community!
I am fresh Bazzite user, installing it as my only OS on this computer, two weeks ago. Installation went smooth, Steam and running games all working properly.
However, from very start there have been issues with Firefox loading some web pages, eg. Bazzite issues index on Github, Youtube (page either not loading completely, or loading only to get message: You're offline. Check your connection.) Chromium loaded pages with following message: DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN
- tried switching from Mozilla to Chromium - didn't help
- replaced TP-Link Wireless USB adapter (using it with Windows since 2018 without issues) with cable - issue persists
- changed password on router for this computer to be only one connected to network - solved nothing
However, when connected to cellphone Hot spot, any page is loaded without any issue. So this definitely seems to be a Bazzite issue.
In few cases resetting the router helped, but then all works well for random length of time: from 5 minutes to few hours. In past few days even this doesn't work.

You can often fix general connection weirdness by switching to a reliable public DNS service (like Google or Cloudflare).
Open your Network Settings (usually under Wi-Fi or Wired Connection properties).
Find the IPv4 tab (or IPv6 if you use it).
Change the method from Automatic (DHCP) to Automatic (DHCP) addresses only.
In the DNS servers field, enter:
For Google DNS: 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4
For Cloudflare DNS: 1.1.1.1, 1.0.0.1
Save the settings and re-connect your network.
Hi there, I’ve been having a similar issue.
Loading pages in any browser will randomly fail to load - instantly, yet things like Steam downloads or streaming work fine.
I’m using Cloudflare DNS on my network router so I’m unsure what’s going on. No other devices on the network have this issue, and this machine doesn’t have this issue on Windows.
