This means that the region your from restricts gambling so you cant buy cosmetic crates

Could be that but you would have to check your country's stuff for that
Try a VPN or change your account age to 18+.
VPN and change the account age doesn't fix it ...
Im in the UK too and had the same issue, changing account age fixed it for me.

I didn’t need a VPN to resolve the issue, adjusting the account age was enough for me but a VPN could also work.
