Unable to start Watch Dogs 1
Whenever I try to launch Watch Dogs 1 from HGL, I am redirected to the Ubisoft Connect home page, and even when I try to launch the game from there, I get the same result. I have also tried different versions of Proton and different HGL distributions (such as flatpack, pacman, and HGL-bin from the yay helper).

the last few times I tried ubisoft games it's been working like that, sounds like a ubisoft issue (maybe a combinaton of that and wine/proton?)
anyway, after clicking the play button in the ubisoft launcher a few times the games usually start, but I haven't seen a clear automatic solution and it seems to affect all ubisoft games (that's why I'm guessing some ubisoft update broke something with wine/proton)

Thanks. I tried again for luck, but I've already pressed the play button 15 times and it still won't start, apparently 😂😂
Then i'll wait for some updates to the Ubisoft client side or proton

This works for me in Bottles. It should only need Ubisoft Connect to run meaning that creating a prefix manually (either in something like Bottles or via the "Add Game" button in Heroic) and installing Ubisoft Connect in to it should be all you need to do.
