Vertical render distance question
Is it possible to make DH render all the way down to bedrock no matter where you are? rn it seems to stop about 198 blocks under, unrelated to the render distance. DH does have LOD but only for blocks that have sky access. Could I turn it so its every block instead?

Try reducing the cave culling height
You can try turning off cave culling, but those chunks should be handled by vanilla if you are above it
Apart from that DH renders from the world bottom to the top already
I'd like to build a tall tower but with the sky access being gone it would just be a hole into the void
so thats a vanilla thing that DH can't change?
You can disable LOD only mode in DH settings and set overdraw prevention to a super small but not 0 value, but that will cause all vanilal chunks to stop rendering
Do you have some mod that adds a vertical render distance like embeddium or better fps
There has to be a place where vanilal is visible and a place where DH is

Yes I know that but can I make DH generate the not sky access blocks in the cave?
If vanilla fails to load inside it's dedicated area, holes will show up
It already does so, unless you use the plugin version on a server and didn't change the surface generation setting

No I do not, I'm on 1.21.10
That is vanilla behavior as far as I can tell, if I join the server on a vanilla client the bottom also disappears at roughly the same height
What exactly is the surface generation setting called? I cannot find a thing in the config for that
Is it the FullBuilder option in the LOD builder?

You might have to place blocks in the chunks for them to update
