DualSense and Xbox Wireless Controller inputs not working in Steam games
Hey everyone, wondering if anyone has run into a similar issue before. My DualSense controller and Xbox Wireless Controller will connect to my PC and get recognized by Steam by the controller settings for games, but when I launch a game, none of the inputs work.
My DualSense is connected via Bluetooth, my Xbox Wireless Controller will not get detected by Bluetooth but I can connect it via USB. I've updated both controllers' firmware on Windows.
If I press the home button on either controller, it opens up the Steam overlay, but none of the other buttons do anything in-game.
Other Bluetooth devices are connecting and working fine (MX Master 3S mouse, AirPods Max headphones).
Thank you in advance!

Solution
The only work around I have found is to force a proton compatibility layer, not experimental, not hotfix, 9.0 or older. Not a great solution considering a lot of the games run natively on Linux, so I am not sure what is going on.
