Grip Mouse

When gripping a mouse, should I rest my thumb on the side buttons or below them? I see a lot of players resting their thumb underneath the side buttons, but wouldn’t that cause a delay when you need to use something like Jett dash since you have to move your thumb up to press them? Or is that delay so small that it doesn’t really matter? if u have dash binded on mouse button
