Change Thumbnail Path

I have been using Immich for quite some time now and would like to make a few optimizations here. For example, the thumbnail storage location.
My server is structured as follows:
The root server connects via SFTP as a mount to a Hetzner storage box, where all photos are stored. The thumbnails are stored on the root server by default and already take up 150 GB of storage space there.
Therefore, I would like to move the thumbnails to the storage box as well. This is mounted under /mnt/thevault_photoarchive.
How exactly do I make this change and how do I then trigger a recreation?
