cannot add domain because of “zone name provided is subject to a hold”
Hi team,
I’m the new registrant of a domain that I recently purchased from the registrar Cosmotown.
When I try to add this domain to my Cloudflare account, I always get the error:
“The zone name provided is subject to a hold which disallows the creation of this zone. Please contact the owner of the Cloudflare account that manages this domain to have the hold removed.”
A few important details about my situation such I have full control over the domain at the registrar (Cosmotown) and I am the legitimate owner. I have never added this domain to any Cloudflare account before.
When I check the current DNS/WHOIS, the domain only points to the Cosmotown nameservers and does not point to any other nameservers.
It seems that the domain may still be associated with a previous Cloudflare account and has a zone hold active.
Could someone from the Cloudflare team please help check this and advise how the hold can be removed so that I can add the domain to my own Cloudflare account?
