You should send your
latest.log file to provide additional useful information.
Logs are usually located in the .minecraft/logs directory.
On Windows: %appdata%\.minecraft\logs
On Linux: ~/.minecraft/logs
On Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/logs
Please upload the file to mclo.gs instead of sending the raw file. This makes reading the contents of the file a lot easier and improves the chances of you getting the help needed.
After uploading the file, click on Save and send the link.i used chunky
i hope that isnt the reason
Was DH uninstalled (removed from the mods folder) when Chunky was running?
No it was not
does it infere with it
They that might very well be the cause
!chunky
Using Chunky to pregenerate for DH is not recommended for several reasons.
The first one is the swiss cheese that might show up when using chunky while DH is installed.
The second reason is that it's pointless, as DH has a build in pregenerator that is better integrated than chunky:
- It saves space by only storing LODs, not normal chunks
- It is faster to use DH's pregenerator to generate the LODs than first using chunky to generate the normal chunks, and then using DH to convert the normal chunks to LODs
- It is part of DH, and therefore always/only called when DH needs it
- Chunky calculates it's radius in blocks, confusing the user if they are not aware of this
Distant Horizons' built-in LOD pregenerator is enabled by default, and can be sped up or slowed down by changing the
Cpu Load in DH's settings, or disabled by turning off Distant Generation.
If you want to pregenerate both LODs and normal chunks, set the Distance Generator Mode to Full under Advanced, World Generator. This will of course take up quite a lot more storage space. Make sure you have C2ME installed if you want to use Full, as the generation speed will be crap if you don't.
Note, this also applied to other similar pregeneration mods.!generators
- FEATURES: Complete generation of all LODs with mostly correct structures and trees. Does not save vanilla chunks, and is much faster than FULL unless C2ME is installed.
- FULL: Generates and saves both DH LODs and vanilla chunks, has 100% correct LODs, because it also saves vanilla chunks it takes the most amount of drive space. Generation speed will suck unless C2ME is installed.
- PRE-EXISTING: Generates LODs for all existing vanilla chunks.
Right now you can try deleting your DH LoD DB and hope the new one will eventually look correct
Or do a !forceupdate
To force a DH LOD to update, you should go to affected chunks one by one and place/destroy a couple of blocks, then wait a while in close proximity to the outdated chunks.
To make the process more reliable, you can:
- Increase the number of placed/broken blocks
- Increase the DH CPU load preset
- Decrease the DH RD
- Re-enter the world before starting the process (but after decreasing the DH RD)
- wait longer in even closer proximity
For every single broken chunk by hand
Running DH pregen over the terrain might also help
okay i see
may c2me gpu acceleration be the issue
i think you can see it in the log
just popped in, i am not using chunky but dh's generation

i deleted dh.sqlite file, i didnt delete what chunky generated though, how can i force distant horizons to use the chunky's data?
enabling pre existing chunks only and enabling the world generation?
A very new, unstable, buggy alpha version of c2me will cause issues for sure
It might not have caused this exact issue but like I said, it's a very new, unstable, buggy alpha version and if you are experiencing issues, those kinds of mods are probably the best place to start
Try it, otherwise you might have to make a new world
thank you
it kind of, corrupted..? it spammed failed to load chunk
gg
i will try running chunky with distant generation enabled (pre existing chunks only)
i can try with it disabled too but still set to pre existing
i will also try removing c2me and dh when using chunky
i got the same error, with no or non gpu accelerated C2ME
altough without GPU accelerated C2ME, it doesnt look like this
maybe there is something i cant see but looks fine to me, just the error i think i can ignore

i dont wanna ping and interrupt, but id be glad if someone experienced told me if its fine to ignore the error or does it have some draw backs
