Suggestion for best spawner plugin setup that won't trash my SMP economy
I am asking for thoughtful suggestions on what spawner plugin to use on my 1.21.10 SMP server. I have until now relied on Slimefun4 and Soul Jars addon for spawner stuff... now that Slimefun is abandoned, we have rid ourselves of it and are in need of an alternative for spawners. Please don't just name one of the plugins available. Tell me why you recommend it and how to configure it so it doesn't absolute trash my economy and lag my server. Thanks!

I had to practically create a new crafting system and custom resource drops...
Plus, I doubt they are forking all of the addons that made the experience what it was.
Really no one uses spawner plugins on SMPs? I really thought I'd get some thoughtful suggestions on this...
most people here dont have time to go through plugin selection, recommendation, setup, balancing that 100% depends on the server, gamemode, playerbase
thats a pretty big ask
especially since basically all virtual spawner plugins (which is what people have moved to) are paid, and also depend on economy, gamemode, playerbase etc
I don't think "I use X and it didn't f*** up my server (or it did)" is a big ask. If no one wants to answer a simple question like that, then maybe I'm misunderstanding the point of this group? Most of my server is paid plugins; I've had no problem spending my time and money to make a dream SMP experience. But as I said, I've not used a spawner plugin other than Slimefun, and I've never used a mob-stacking plugin. I think it would be best not to assume everyone here is some deadbeat trying to use a cracked server and free crappy plugins....

No. I just don't need a thread that's a list of two-word responses covering every spawning plugin in existence without any context. I can read, and I have done my research, I don't need a list of what is out there. But, if anyone has any "buyer beware" PSAs, I'd love to hear them.
I don't need a configuration other than I'd love to hear, "By the way, make sure you don't do X, I had to wipe my server...." kind of thing. Because you are right, you don't know my setup or my server pop and pertinent information like that.
But if someone wanted to say, "Whatever you do, NEVER put a spawner plugin on an SMP because X....," that would be really good to know.
I won't miss the toxicity of the Slimefun discord, but Slimefun4 covered a lot of bases I didn't have to think about. It was a rare jewel among free plugins on a mostly-paid plugin server.
No worries though... I'll go back to my corner of the Internet... 😄
smart spawner pretty good. and free
most addons likely would already be compatible or would need minor changes, although I've never done much with slimefun itself
