GPD Win Max 2 Steam Big Picture Lag

I havea GPD Win Max 2 (Ryzen 7 6800U, 32GB RAM) that I installed Bazzite on. I decided to install the desktop image (ie no steam gaming mode) because I intend to use the handheld as a normal computer, not as a game console. However, I still would like to be able to use Steam Big Picture to play games on the TV, or just when I am using the controller and want to use it in the fasion.
My issue is that when I open Steam Big Picture, I get 100% GPU Usgae on the Radeon 680M, and when running games, opening the big picture overlay can lag alot, often taking 10's of seconds to react. On my GPD Win 3, which I have the steam gamemode image on, this is not an issue when in game mode. This device also does have a 720p screen, not a 1600p screen like my Win Max 2. But, in any case, I was wondering if there was any way to fix this.
