help with Android upload 4000+ images

Kia ora everyone,
I installed Immich on an Android phone which has a bit over 4000 images on it, that I want to upload to my server. The connection is over local wifi (192.168...).
I added the Camera album (which has most pictures) and started backup which seems to be working. However it's been "processing" for over half an hour and no pictures have been uploaded yet. Then, the app has crashed a couple times.
How do I know if it's actually working, and when will it be done with processing/hashing and upload?

It took over an hour, then has begun uploading. I reckon there should be more of an indication of how much of the Processing has completed and what is remaining though.
