[New to Bazzite] Issue running .sh script

when i run the script using bash -c /home/user/Desktop/foldername/filename, I encounter an error
RuntimeError: Unable to run "sdl-config". Please make sure a development version of SDL is installed. [end of output]
at this point im desperate to get this working
