deep research + general web search with t3chat

I'm considering switching to T3chat from my regular ChaiGPT Plus subscription. I just want to know which is the best replacement for general web search or deep research, particularly among the non-premium models. I just don't know if I can make the switch and still have the same experience. Thank you guys for any input.

imo for general web search replacement use, use gpt 5.1 kimi k2 or Claude sonnet with search turned on. there is no true deep research equivalent, but I think Gemini gives you some free deep research on their site? they might've changed that idk

Thank you kindly. The other thing I was wondering as I was testing out models, in particular I tried to search reddit.com, which works in the official chat GPT chat application, but I was getting these failed to fetch content errors in T3 chat. Using a bunch of different model providers.

unfortunately I don't know if there's a good solution for that right now, but deepseek and kimis free tiers might fill in for you (on their site platforms) not sure

grok fast on the grok site itself has decent search ability too
