Boron me 2p orbital se back bonding hota hai
Aluminium se 3p se
To boron is more wanting towards electron
And vaise bhi boron ki electronegativity jyda hai
Hence loves electrons
lewis acid strength goes like BI3 > BBr3 > BCl3 > BF3
now this is because of p pi p pi back bonding between p orbital of B and of the halogen. BI3 has worst back bonding because of the large P orbital
thus the most acidic nature ( more probable to accept electrons )
now wouldnt Al and B follow the same logic
Al has 3p whereas as B has 2p
3p is bigger than 2p
Back bonding depends on size factor no? Bada size= less bb?

BI3 mein weak back bonding hai cuz boron ke p orbital and I ke p orbital mei bohot bada size diff hai
