I learned that Lewis acids are identified by having vacant orbitals, but doesn’t every atom technically have infinitely many vacant orbitals?
Vacant orbitals means the orbitals that are energetically low enough to participate in a reaction
The electron donor species will have those electrons in its HOMO
Highest occupied molecular orbital
Which would donate to the LUMO
Lowest Unoccupied Molecular Orbital
The gap in those shouldn’t be very high
alright thanls
thanks @Enamine
Mark this solved if the bot is working then
how do I do that
You write "+solved@(the person who solved)"
But that won't work for now 'cause the bot is down
To be closed when bot is fixed
