Custom SMTP Password Field Reverts Automatically
SMTP password field will not stay saved.
I paste in the correct SMTP password, click Save, and it says “Updated successfully.” But if I go to a diffrent page or change anything else on the page and save again, the password goes back to the old value every time.
Because of this, Custom SMTP can’t authenticate and emails fail. The built-in email works fine when Custom SMTP is turned off.
Looking for help on why the password won’t persist in the dashboard.
Here’s everything we’ve already tried:
Turning Custom SMTP off, saving, then turning it back on
Using different browsers (Chrome, Brave, Firefox, Safari)
Using Incognito / Private mode
Disabling autofill and password managers
Pasting the password manually each time
Regenerating a new SMTP password
Saving immediately after entering the password
Trying from a different device
Verifying that built-in email works when Custom SMTP is off
