[SteamVR] One CPU core pinned at 100% usage, causing bottleneck
I have an issue with SteamVR (default Proton, Steam Linux Runtime), where SteamVR pins one of my CPU core to 100% and virtually doesn't use any other cores, which causes a heavy bottleneck, and extremely jittery motion artifacts on the HMD.
I could confirm the bottleneck was CPU-based by limiting the framerate.
GPU is at ~50% usage. I don't have any issue on Windows, so I don't think it's hardware bound either.
I tried with several different version of Proton (experimental, hotfix, GE and 7), to no avail (SteamVR straight up refuses to start with any of those).
