Webcam works in Windows but not Linux

It seems that this may have to do with a recent change to the Linux kernel. I'm new to Linux but it looks like there is a patch I can try at this address (https://lore.kernel.org/all/20251022-uvc-grandstream-laurent-v2-1-8c5c20d6c571@chromium.org/) but I don't know how.
The webcam shows up like this is lsusb:

Is it even possible to patch the kernel on Bazzite?
Any other ideas?
