First suit, fit issues
Hey all, any help would be appreciated as I’ve been reading a lot but it’s hard to reconcile all that to myself irl
I wrote a whole ass long thing but discord deleted it before I posted so in short:
Got into suits recently and searched online for something my size, which was harder than expected
Apparently my torso is short and my shoulders wider than normal
Still, managed to find a Japanese suit secondhand from 2018, so pretty recent but it’s made from Loro piana super 120s and I got it for quite cheap
It arrived and I tried it on… and it feels off? I never wore a formal suit before that was well fitting so I’m kind of lost
Usually wear more fashioney and vintage stuff without too much regard to sizing
Anyway this is still long and here are my and the suit measurements in centimeters:
Jacket
Shoulder Width: 45
Bust: 52
Length: 72
Sleeve Length: 60
Pants
Rise: 24
Inseam: 79
Waist: 76
Leg Opening: 20
Toma
Height: 1.78
Shoulder width: 45
Bust: 43-44
Waist: 72-73
And lastly I also got this vintage Loro piana coat, and I’m thinking of adding darts to narrow the chest and add a bit of flare, thoughts?
