Deus Ex - Human Revolution (GOG) not running anymore from one day to the next

So I've been playing Deus Ex - Human Revolution Director's Cut (GOG version) on Linux just fine yesterday, and today it just won't start with the following error in the log:

This is on Heroic 2.18.1. There were no changes between now and the last time it worked, no system updates, no Heroic or game update. I rebooted my PC, tried Verify & Repair, but no luck.

I am on Linux Mint 22.1.

What is happening, and what can I do about it?
