KVM Switch and Bazzite/Wayland compatability
Running into a ton of issues using an AV access KVM switch to switch my display: Samsung q90, keyboard, and mouse between my work laptop (no issues running on windows) and my personal rig running the most up to date version of bazzite (ran full update suite this morning to do more testing).
Personal rig specs:
Display Samsung QN90D
GPU NVidia RTX 4070ti Super
CPU Intel i7 14700KF
MB MSI MPG Z790i edge wifi
RAM 32gb G.SKILL Trident Z5
Memory: 1 500gb ssd and 1 1tb ssd
KVM : 2x1 8K KVM Switch w/ HDMI 2.1 & USB 3.0 Hub, Supports 10K@120hz, 8K@120hz, 1080P@240hz & 2560x1440@144hz
I can boot to bazzite login screen and run everything on the computer flawlessly with the display running at a set 120HZ, but when I hit the KVM switch to bounce over to the work laptop do some tasks and try and swap back it either never picks up a signal from the computer on the monitor or goes to a black screen I cannot even get the the TTY from. Sometimes I can't even force a shutdown on the black screen with the power button and must switch off power via the workstation power supply switch.
Hoping someone has pointers. I can live without using the KVM switch but is has been a massive boon for my workflow.
