Desktop black screen with only mouse and very laggy

Using Nvidia open stable 42 booting into desktop. I rebased from stable. After logging in the desktop is black, the mouse is there but so laggy my inputs arent registering for like a minute. Im guessing it has somthing to do with kde plasma but im not sure. Any help would be appreciated
