update failing (new to linux)

i hd some pop up saying no updates had taken place in over a month trying to manualy update had this error

What is the output of

rpm-ostree status

If you see layered packages, try running

rpm-ostree reset

rpm-ostree reset

to remove them, reboot, and then try updating again

though it's an IO error

Yeah, looks like that is not the issue

As an update I found out the computer would not enter sleep mode
