Soundkeeper Linux Alternative Needed (Need to play constant inaudible audio)
My iFi dac has a weird low power state and anytime audio starts or stops playing, it switches states. This makes an audible popping sound. On Windows I used Soundkeeper to always play inaudible audio in the background so that it never changed states. That is a windows application so I was looking for an alternative. I found these 2 threads. Maxwell initial audio cut-off workaround and Play infinite inaudible tone from command line. sox is not on bazzite but I tried running these in distrobox and I don't believe it did anything. Ffplay didn't require distrobox but that also didn't work. I ended up just running soundkeeper in Bottles and that did work but I think it might be contributing to my audio crackling now.
Does anyone know of any other fixes/workarounds?
