5Ghz WiFi connection drops especially during heavy data transfers
Recently did a dual boot setup Bazzite on my GPD Win 5. When I went to download my games, the WiFi connection would drop every 10-20 minutes. Attempts to reconnect via the Internet menu within Gaming Mode behaved as if the network adaptor itself was disabled. If I restarted the OS, it would work again for a bit and shut down again. If I use a 2.4ghz connection, it holds up much better. While I was setting up the OS and only using light network (installing Decky, browsing GitHub) it seemed stable, and only occurred while I was attempting to download my games.
Things I’ve already tried but haven’t worked:
-Switched to iwd
-Ensured fast startup was disabled within Windows
-Disabled WiFi power save options within Developer Mode
-Checked (as far as I know) if Windows was claiming it, it wasn’t.
-Haven’t experienced this in Windows
I checked all the tags for good measure since I’m a bit puzzled what’s causing this.
